In this upper-level course, students create their own machinima—animated video produced in virtual worlds—set in Second Life. Students will write their own scripts, customize their actor "avatars," create virtual 3-D costumes and props, and capture and edit the virtual scenes they produce. The course introduced students to college writing by focusing on changes in writing technologies taking place in their college and in the culture at large.
